Fall 2015 Outstanding Human Relations Student Award
The Student Society for Human Relations (SSHR) is accepting nominations for Outstanding Human Relations Student for Fall 2015. The award will be presented to a student who has exemplified outstanding human relations activism by contributing their time and effort to the Human Relations department, university, and/or local community. Human relations activism can be reflected in the form of community and/or public service, volunteer work, leadership, social justice advocacy, or special efforts that reflect the ideals of human relations.
Nominations will be accepted through November 20. Self-nominations are also accepted. Nominations should include the nominee’s name, classification, and a detailed statement that describes why this student should receive the award. The statement must contain specific efforts the nominee has demonstrated in their human relations contributions and activities. Nominees must be majoring in human relations.
Nominations will be reviewed by Dr. Byrd and the SSHR student leaders. The award recipient will be announced on December 4. The recipient will be featured on the SSHR webpage and will receive a $25 gift certificate to a vendor of choice. Submit nominations and/or inquiries to SSHR@ou.edu.
